๐Ÿ“ˆ Reading Liquidation Data

Interpret positions and liquidation data accurately (PRO+ feature)

โš ๏ธ DATA DISCLAIMER:

This platform provides Real-time liquidation zone data. Positions and prices updated continuously. Data may occasionally lag behind actual exchange state by seconds. Verify independently before trading.

The "Near Liquidation" Tab

The Near Liquidation tab shows positions currently approaching their liquidation price. This is available for Pro and higher tiers.

Position Row Fields

Field Meaning Example
Symbol & Current price Cryptocurrency pair BTC ยท Mark $79,165.5, ETH ยท Mark $2,515.95
Type LONG (betting price up) or SHORT (betting price down) LONG or SHORT
Distance % % price must move to trigger liquidation 0.1%, 0.5%, 1.0%, 10.0%
Entry Price Price where position was opened $45,230
Margin Amount of capital put up by the trader $44, $10k, $12.5M, $29B
Leverage Multiplier applied to position (1x to 500x) 5x, 10x, 40x, 100x, 500x

Understanding Distance %

The "Distance %" column is crucial. It shows how far price must move before the position liquidates.

Example Calculations

LONG Position:

Entry: $50,000 | Leverage: 10x | Liq Price: $45,000

Distance = ($50,000 - $45,000) / $50,000 = 10%

If price drops 10%, this position liquidates

SHORT Position:

Entry: $50,000 | Leverage: 5x | Liq Price: $60,000

Distance = ($60,000 - $50,000) / $50,000 = 20%

If price rises 20%, this position liquidates

Tier-Based Position Visibility

Different tiers see positions at different distance thresholds:

Tier Positions Shown Use Case
Starter None (visibility disabled) Zone learning only
Pro Within 3% of liquidation Very close to danger zone
Elite Within 10% of liquidation Building positions visible
Institutional Within 15% of liquidation Comprehensive position map

Position Size & Concentration

In the NEAR LIQUIDATION tab: Each row shows an INDIVIDUAL position with its EXACT liquidation price to 2 decimal places. Positions are shown exactly as they exist on the exchange with no rounding or aggregation (e.g., $78,564, $78,576, $78,161, $78,157, $78,142 - each is a separate position at its precise liquidation price).

In the LIQ PROFILE bar chart (left panel): The SAME individual positions are rounded into price bands for visualization. This is how multiple different prices create tall bars:

How Price Bands Work

Key insight: Positions in NEAR LIQUIDATION show exact prices. Positions in LIQ PROFILE are those SAME positions rounded into bands based on 1% of current market price.

    Drift (DR)

    Common Misinterpretations

โŒ Myth: Zones predict price movement

โœ… Reality: Zones show where liquidations COULD occur, not where they WILL occur. Price depends on many factors.

โŒ Myth: All liquidations happen instantly

โœ… Reality: Liquidations can be delayed. Positions may close before reaching liquidation price.

โŒ Myth: High position count = guaranteed support

โœ… Reality: Positions are one factor. Market sentiment, news, and other factors matter equally or more.

โŒ Myth: Platform data is 100% accurate

โœ… Reality: Platform data is accurate and complete under normal conditions. Occasional latency may occur during extreme market volatility or network congestion. For critical decisions, cross-reference with exchange data as a best practice.

    Best Practices for Data Analysis

    1. Verify independently: Check exchange data directly for critical decisions
    2. Use multiple timeframes: Zones appear different on 5m vs 1h charts
    3. Consider context: Market sentiment, news, and volatility matter
    4. Don't over-rely: Liquidation data is one tool among many
    5. Manage risk: Always use appropriate position sizing and stop losses
    FINAL REMINDER:

This data is provided for informational and analytical purposes to support your trading research. It is NOT financial advice and should not be the sole basis for trading decisions. Like all trading tools, use proper risk management, position sizing, and independent verification before executing trades.
