What Are ML Signals?
ML Signals are machine learning-powered assessments of liquidation zone "strength" - a measure of how significant a zone is based on multiple factors:
- Position concentration (how many positions)
- Leverage distribution (range of leverage levels)
- eal-time liquidation impact
- Zone age and decay
- Exchange-specific factors
Understanding the ML Signals Tab
Signal Components
Zone Strength Score (0-100)
A composite score indicating the estimated significance of a liquidation zone:
- 80-100: Very strong zone, high concentration
- 60-79: Strong zone, notable position cluster
- 40-59: Moderate zone, some concentration
- 20-39: Weak zone, scattered positions
- 0-19: Very weak zone, minimal significance
Confidence Level
How confident the model is in the strength assessment:
- 95-100%: High confidence (more data points)
- 75-94%: Good confidence
- 50-74%: Moderate confidence
- <50%: Low confidence (less reliable)
Zone Volatility Estimate
Expected price movement volatility around the zone:
- High: Potential for sharp price swings
- Medium: Moderate movement expected
- Low: Smooth price action expected
How to Use ML Signals
1. Identify Strong Zones
Look for zones with strength scores > 70 combined with high confidence (>85%). These are the most "active" zones.
2. Compare with Price
Strong zones near current price are more relevant than zones far away. A strong zone 5% away matters more than one 50% away.
3. Look for Clusters
Multiple strong zones near each other suggest significant support/resistance levels.
4. Check Exchange Breakdown
Signals show which exchange(s) are contributing to zone strength. Understand which market is creating the signal.
5. Combine with Other Analysis
Use signals alongside technical analysis, market sentiment, and fundamental factors.
Model Limitations & Important Notes
NOT a Prediction Tool
The model measures zone significance, not future price direction. A strong zone might still be ignored by the market.
Real-Time Position Analysis (Trained on Historical Patterns)
The model is trained on historical zone outcome data (did zones hold or break in the past?), but makes predictions using CURRENT OPEN POSITION DATA:
- Training phase: Model learns from historical zone lifecycle events (patterns of when zones held vs broke)
- Prediction phase: Model analyzes real-time position characteristics to assess current zone strength
- Input features: Volume, concentration, touch count, zone age, leverage distribution, funding rates
- Live updates: Signals reflect current market state as positions open/close in real-time
This means signals combine learned patterns from history with present moment position data to estimate zone significance.
Data Quality Dependencies
Signal accuracy depends on:
- Exchange API reliability
- Data freshness (updates every 1-5 seconds)
- Complete position tracking
- Exchange-specific quirks and delays
Black Box Model
The exact algorithm is proprietary. You're trusting the model's assessment without seeing the detailed calculations.
Best Practices
- Use as a filter: Strong signals merit further investigation
- Verify manually: Look at the chart and position tab to confirm signals
- Don't trade signals alone: Combine with multiple analysis methods
- Watch confidence scores: Low confidence signals are less reliable
- Monitor real-time updates: Signals change as market conditions evolve
- Keep perspective: Even "strong" zones can be broken through by market momentum
Common ML Signal Patterns (Real-Time Observations)
Pattern 1: Strong Support Zone
Strong green (long liquidation) zone with high confidence near current price. Right now, many long positions are clustered here. If price drops here today, those liquidations could occur.
Pattern 2: Rising Resistance
Strong red (short liquidation) zone above current price, with strength increasing. This means traders are currently opening shorts above current level; zone strength growing in real-time.
Pattern 3: Weak Cluster
Multiple zones with low individual strength but collectively significant. Traders currently have positions spread across a range rather than concentrated in one area.
Pattern 4: Decaying Zone
Zone was strong recently but confidence declining. Traders are currently closing or liquidating their positions at this level; zone relevance decreasing right now.
